Bio

Patti Nakagawa is the managing Broker-in-Charge (BIC) of the Honolulu office. She has oversight of sales and development for more than 100 sales associates in the company's top producing sales office. The Honolulu office has been consistently ranked among the top 10 percent of the 700+ national company-owned offices, and recognized as the top Coldwell Banker office in the State of Hawaii.

Nakagawa also oversees the company's highly successful Coldwell Banker Global Luxury program which includes more than 100 luxury market specialists in Honolulu. In her role she directs the strategic initiatives, marketing and program standards.

Prior to her career in real estate, Nakagawa enjoyed a long and successful career in luxury retail with retail giant DFS Hawaii, where she held senior level positions in merchandising, store operations and marketing. During her tenure, she directed the sales and profit performance for the highest volume store in the company's worldwide operations and the highest producing retail store in the State of Hawaii.

Nakagawa is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Hawaii Association of Realtors (HAR), Honolulu Board of Realtors (HBR) and served on the HAR Forms Committee from 2004 through 2007. She has her Broker's license and holds designations including Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), Luxury Property Specialist and Green Certified Real Estate Professional (GCREP).

Nakagawa is a member of the Realogy Growth Markets task force, a national committee whose mission is to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In January 2009 she was the founding member of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties House Speakers, a company-wide Toastmasters club that fosters communication and leadership skills. She continues to be an active member in the club. Nakagawa is an Advisory member for the Board of Directors of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA). She served on the board of directors for the Retail Merchants of Hawaii (RMH) for more than 15 years and was a past Chair of the Board. In 2002 she was recognized as the RMH Retail Employee of the Year. She also is a past board member of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and the Travel and Tourist Research Association.

The sales associates and employees at the Honolulu office participated in a number of initiatives that support the community. The office's annual fundraising for Lokahi has adopted more than 30 families since 2003. Nakagawa is an avid supporter of the Aloha United Way, contributing to the company fundraising campaigns since 1985 as a Leadership Giver. She has also volunteered for the JCCH Cherry Blossom Festival as a speech trainer, March of Dimes Walk America, American Heart Association, and HUGS.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Nakagawa is a graduate of Roosevelt High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, and has attended numerous advanced education classes in business, including a Consumer Marketing Strategy Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Nakagawa is married to Nelson, a retired commercial card services manager at First Hawaiian Bank. Their children reside in California, Washington, Tennessee and Massachusetts.
