The Down East Dog Park at Glenburnie Park, 332 Glenburnie Drive, features separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, drinking water, benches, and an electronic keyed gate. New Bern's 300th Anniversary Jubilee Weekend, September 16 - 19, 2010

There are no words to properly describe how wonderful New Bern's 300th Anniversary Jubilee weekend was. Although there were too many activities to attend, let me give you a run down on the events that I saw and enjoyed.
On Friday night, my husband Randy and I attended the North Carolina Symphony's concert on the lawn of majestic Tryon Palace and thought it doesn't get any better than this: a respectful and appreciative crowd, a fantastic concert, fireworks, and beautiful weather.
On Saturday morning we cheered for the fabulous Celebration Parade. How proud we were to be New Bernians. The bands, the groups that were represented, and the quality of the entertainment were all superb.
