There is a Fine Arts and Craft Sale on Friday and Saturday August 27th and 28th featuring an eclectic mix of fine wine and art representing talent from across North Carolina and beyond. On Friday evening, take a stroll along a six-block area of Historic Downtown New Bern, NC while enjoying ArtWalk Downtown New Bern. Galleries and art stores will remain open until 8PM along Middle, Craven, Pollock and East and South Front Streets. ArtWalk Downtown New Bern is sponsord by the Downtown Business Association and Craven Arts Council and features local art and artists, live music, and refreshments from 5-8PM.

The game may have stayed the same but the rules have changed greatly over the past twenty-five years. "When I first started, there were no cell phones or faxes and emails to send," mentioned Al Mack. "Now the technology available means transactions can be handled at a faster rate and the realtor is able to meet clients' needs faster. The Neuse River Region Association of REALTORS® presented Martha with its 2009 REALTOR of the Year Award recognizing her contributions to the community, association, and real estate industry. The Award is presented annually to a REALTOR nominated by his or her peers.
Martha has been an agent for more than 10 years with Coldwell Banker Willis-Smith Company and was the Association’s 2009 Board President. She has been a board member for eight years. Martha also received Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation's 2009 Sterling Society Award for outstanding sales. Martha lives in New Bern with her husband Mike and their two sons.
