Brit Babcock, Broker

Brit has been a Broker / Agent, licensed with the California Bureau of Real Estate, at Coldwell Banker Luxury International & previously at First Team Estates – Christies International in the Newport Beach and Laguna Beach offices with affiliations in the Desert, Los Angeles, and San Diego for Residential and Commercial Sales since 2003. As a Top Sales Producer, Brit has achieved record sales in the Palm Springs area and throughout Southern California. Her experience includes Residential, Commercial, Trust, Foreclosure / Short Sales / REOs, Probate and Court Sales, as well as renovating and staging homes.

Brit has a strong history in sales and business development. She has launched numerous startup companies, primarily in mid to high end real estate development in Palm Springs, California, and Bar Harbor, Maine areas, such as a development of a 32 acre ocean front community of high end summer homes outside Bar Harbor. She was also formerly a licensed financial advisor, with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Private Wealth Management.

As President of Operations for MB Dylan, LLC, Brit formed subsidiaries and managed operations, dealing in real estate development, buying and selling real estate, managing construction of all ongoing projects, including development, design & asset management from start to completion; negotiated, supervised and managed vendors, suppliers and staff, architects, project managers and supervisors; developed "turnkey" community sub-divisions and built custom designed swimming pools and spas for individual clients and builders. Brit also formerly managed temporary employment of attorneys and paralegals; and constructed legal search engines and databases for large national and international litigation matters. She is strong in sales, management and operations, business planning and focus, meeting goals and managing budgets.

Brit served as a partner to The Mount Company, LLC a film and television production company in Los Angeles and has a significant background in the film and television industry having built many relationships with executives, producers, directors, writers, and actors in the Los Angeles and Southern California area.

Brit has an entrepreneurial approach to all matters and goes well beyond handling the normal issues arising from real estate transactions for her clients. She attended the University of Maine, George Washington University, Georgetown University and Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, achieving a BA in English. She earned a Master’s Degree in Literature from Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English and attended the Bennington College MFA program in writing. She is a Mayflower and DAR descendent, born and raised in the Northeast United States. An accomplished sailor and skier, she spends considerable time helping entrepreneurs grow successful businesses. She lives in Palm Springs and San Diego.
