By Land
From the South:
From I-95, follow I-95 North to Smithfield, NC. From I-95 at Smithfield, take Highway 70 East to New Bern. Take New Bern exit and cross the Alfred Cunningham drawbridge. At the stoplight, turn left onto South Front Street to Historic Downtown New Bern. At second stoplight, turn left on Middle Street. Coldwell Banker Willis-Smith's office is located on the right at 115 Middle Street.
From Highway 17, take Hwy 17 North to New Bern. Upon reaching New Bern city limits, continue to follow 17 North (also Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd). Continue straight to HWY 17 N/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., following the Convention Center and Tourist Information signage. HWY 17 N becomes Broad Street. At the end of Broad Street you will turn to the right onto East Front Street. Go to the stoplight and then turn right onto South Front Street and into Historic Downtown New Bern.
From the North:
From I-95, follow I-95 South to Smithfield, NC. From I-95 at Smithfield, take Highway 70 East to New Bern. Take New Bern exit and cross the Alfred Cunningham drawbridge. At the stoplight, turn left onto South Front Street and into Historic Downtown New Bern. At second stoplight, turn left on Middle Street. From Rt. 13, follow Rt. 13 South to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Once across the bridge, follow Rt.13 S to merge onto I-64E/Hampton Road Belt towards DOWNTON NORFOLK/CHESAPEAKE/SUFFOLK for approximately 10 miles. Merge onto I-464 S/MLK Jr. Memorial Highway via Exit 291B toward US 17S/Elizabeth City. Merge onto US 17 S toward Elizabeth City and continue on US 17 S/US 17 Bypasses for approximately 150 miles. Take US-70 E ramp toward New Bern/Havelock. Take US-70 BR ramp toward New Bern. At end of ramp, take right and cross the Alfred Cunningham drawbridge. At the stoplight, turn left onto South Front Street and into Historic Downtown New Bern. At second stoplight, turn left on Middle Street. Coldwell Banker Willis-Smith's office is located on the right at 115 Middle Street.
From Raleigh, NC:
From I-40, follow Highway 70 East to New Bern. Take New Bern exit and cross the Alfred Cunningham drawbridge. At the stoplight, turn left onto South Front Street and into Historic Downtown New Bern. From East:

By Air
Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN), is located 2 miles southeast of downtown New Bern just a block off U.S. 70. It offers as many as 12 daily nonstop flights to Atlanta or Charlotte with one-stop connections to more than 300 destinations worldwide via US Airways and Delta Connection. Airport parking is available for 50 cents per half-hour or $6 daily.
Directions from Airport to Downtown New Bern:
Turn left onto Airport Rd. when you exit the airport. At the light, turn left onto Highway 70 West. Approximately four miles, take the New Bern exit and continue across the Alfred Cunningham drawbridge. At the stoplight, turn left onto South Front Street and into Historic Downtown New Bern. At second stoplight, turn left on Middle Street. Coldwell Banker Willis-Smith's office is located on the right at 115 Middle Street.
By Sea
Boaters arriving on the water come up on the Intracoastal Waterway following the channel markers that will bring them to the Neuse River into New Bern. The Neuse River flows into the Pamlico Sound and has well-marked channels. New Bern also fronts the Trent River, which flows into the Neuse.
New Bern and the many nearby marinas offer berthing space for boats of all sizes. If you're traveling to New Bern from some distance, it is wise to call ahead to check on available docking space, especially during the warmer months. Click here for local marina information.
