Maito was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from Seikei University with B.A. in Business Management and Economics in 2003, Maito worked for an overseas resort wedding company which was Tokyo based and transferred over to Hawaii in 2005. Maito eventually went on and founded her own wedding company, Farfalla Wedding in Hawaii in 2009 which has successfully custom-planned and stylized more than 600 weddings. Her work has been featured in numerous publications such as Classy Wedding, 25ans Wedding, Miss Wedding, Marisol, JTB Hawaii and many other books and publications in Hawaii and Japan.

Maito is bi-lingual with fluency in English and Japanese and flourishes in a multi-cultural environment to fulfill cross-culture services such as real estate, weddings, events/parties and planning services with a real talent and excellent ability to communication with her clients.

Maito lives with her husband and two children in Honolulu, Hawaii. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the beautiful islands in which they live and traveling around the world experiencing foreign cultures and food.
