Andrew Cowan is a life-long resident of Iselin and a product of Colonia schools in the Woodbridge Township School District.

During his time at Colonia High School, he was: Treasurer for his graduating class, involved with student government and vocal/instrumental music groups, and a member of the varsity Cross Country team.

His academic performance made him eligible for the New Jersey STARS Program for college, where financial aid was first provided to earn an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts/History at Middlesex County College.

Then the Program continued when he attended Kean University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in History and a minor in Sociology.

Recently, Andrew has: worked as a poll clerk for the Middlesex County Board of Elections, become the Archival Intern at the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park (Edison, NJ) and volunteered as a Catholic CCD teacher at St. John Vianney Church (Colonia, NJ).
