More about Richard Alpers
Since my first day in Real Estate I've always believed in one guiding principle. "No Hype, No Pressure, Just Straight Talk!".
See, Realtors spend lots of times in workshops and classes learning sales techniques about "closing" buyers and sellers. I tend to raise my hand and say, "What if we just point out what's good or bad about a property, share our knowledge of the market, and let people make their own decisions?" Instructors don't like it very much, but I've found that buyers and sellers sure do. Give me a call and let's talk about what YOU want.
Communities I Serve
All of Boulder County and Beyond, including Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Superior, and Broomfield, as well as Arvada and Westminster. I've sold homes as far south as Castle Rock, and as far north as Fort Collins, and I have a vast peresonal network of agents around the state and the country that I can refer you to.
Education and Training
I'm proud to have several prestigious titles after my name. Here's what they mean:
GRI Graduate of the Realtor Institute. This designation is achieved by taking several hours of training about real estate well beyond what's required to keep an active license.
SRES Seniors Real Estate Specialist. This program is recommended by AARP, and teaches Realtors about what's needed to work with Senior citizens, who may have a huge emotional attachment to home they've lived in for many years.
CRS Certified Residential Specialist. This means that I've completed hours of instruction in everything from construction to investing in real estate. These classes are in depth and involve passing a written exam. Only 5% of Realtors nationwide achieve this designation.
Areas of Expertise
Rich is known for expertise with older, classic homes (pre-1940) in the Boulder area. For more information please visit www.HistoricHomesofBoulder.com.
I set aside one day every quarter to work with Habitat For Humanity - A truly great organization
My wife and I are also very active in Kiva.org, providing microloans for hard working enterpreneurs around the world.
I've worked in the Boulder County Real Estate market for 21 years now!
Prior to that I grew up in Connecticut, attended Ashland College in Ohio, and then worked as an actor and singer in New York for many years.
The desire to start a family brought me and my incredible wife Amy to Colorado in 1989, and the process of buying a house interested me so much that I got a real estate license in 1989. The rest is history!
