More about Susan Oyer

I am a fifth generation Florida native which gives me a unique insight into Florida, its history, and its real estate market. My family arrived in the 1870's, and were the first permanent settlers in the area that is now Jupiter - Miami. My great, great uncle, Charlie Pierce, is the famous Barefoot Mailman you'll see in pictures, logos, paintings, and in best-selling children's books written by my brother. Florida has such a unique history, in addition to its one of a kind environment. What a great place to live! Feel free to ask me questions about the history of South Florida--if I don't know, I can refer you to the right source. It is so important to learn more about the area you plan to call your home.

Like most of my family members, I went to the University of Florida for my undergraduate degree (Go Gators!) and to Florida Atlantic University for my MA and a GIS Certificate (Go Owls!). I bring a variety of career experiences to real estate: 2+ decades of sales, teaching, training, fundraising, customer service skills, and small event planning. Besides cheering on my Gators during football season every Fall, I'm an avid gardener raising over 100 orchids, I have traveled extensively in Europe, and I have 2 beloved kitties. Current activities include going solar, driving the new electric Mini Cooper, and being the "World's Best Aunt" to my 2 nephews and 1 niece.

I'm very active in many organizations and in my community. I'm either on the executive board or a member/former member of the following organizations: St. George's Society of Palm Beach, Lake Worth Pioneers' Association, PEO International (EX branch), Greater Boynton Beach Sister Cities, Florida Blue Key, Boynton Beach Historical Society, Junior League of the Palm Beaches, the First United Methodist Church in Boynton, and the University of Florida Alumni Association/Palm Beach County Gator Club. I have also served on a few city boards over the years for the City of Boynton Beach: Arts Commission, Historic Resources Preservation Board, Planning Development Board, and the Sustainability Advisory Team. Plus countless hours volunteering at city events.

I'll be making a charitable donation for every completed transaction to the charities I support.
