More about Karen Long

Karen Long: Real Estate Tailored to You

Karen Long is a Coldwell Banker Realtor based out of the Evanston Central office. She has established a reputation for having some of the most satisfied clients in North Shore Real Estate. She proudly services many areas: She is most familiar and attuned to Skokie, where she lives with her family, she also stays up to date and practices in Skokie, Evanston, Morton Grove, Glenview, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, and Highland Park. There are so many aspects that make Karen a special Realtor. One of the most important of which is that she wants it to be a wonderful experience for you. Whether you are buying or selling she wants to be sure she is always accessible to you (you will never want for a call back), that you feel well taken care of and finally, that you are satisfied, beyond belief, with the end result! It is this work ethic and dedication that accounts for her long list of repeat clients and referrals.

A Unique Selling Experience

Karen has a finely tuned approach to selling your home. She is honest from the get go with you about price. So often an agent may tell you what you want to hear to “hook you in” to working with them, then change their tune about price after just a few days or weeks. But Karen meticulously takes apart the closed comparable properties in the area and prices your home using this data and her intimate knowledge of the community market. Even in this more challenging market, she has several instances where homes she has sold have gone into multiple offers, a seller’s dream! She attributes this to her extremely high level of dedication to her job of selling your home, While Karen works all of the areas mentioned above she has become known in the community and the media as a Skokie expert. Most recently, She was interviewed and one of her sales was featured in an article by Jeremy Schnitker in the Chicago Sun Times. The article focused on the subdivision of Skokie, Devonshire Hills. Karen was interviewed saying, “You’re seeing a lot of people that have lived here since the 1950s putting their homes on the market,” she said. “And the neighborhood, the schools and housing style is really attractive to younger families.” (For Full Article text please see Karen’s website) Karen has experience listing and helping buyer’s in this market and can traverse through the wide range of property types with ease and expertise.

A Unique Buying Experience

Karen Long has worked with every demographic of buyer: city to suburb, suburb to city, investor, first-time, repeat, but the result is always the same: They are thrilled with their new home! She prides herself again on her accessibility to her clients and her tenacious drive to find what you want in a home. The most consistent feedback from her clients is that they are surprised that they never feel pressured. Karen does not believe in stressing you into a purchase. She will never present you something beyond your means and will work tirelessly until you find the ideal property. She finds out your criteria and fits you a home as made to order as possible.

Karen’s community and loves

Don’t be surprised if you sometimes hear a “dude” or “peeps” reference from Karen as she has a teenage son in his Freshman year of High School. Not only has she been involved in the Skokie school district as a room Mom, PTA member, and avid Viking’s fan, but she has also been actively involved in the park district. She loves her community and is happy to tour any neighborhood you may want to be in and help you fall in love with your community too! She is a trained dancer and still loves to dance and of course loves to spend time with her family and golden retriever.
