Lincoln, a small town in Eastern Massachusetts, was originally settled as part of Concord until it split off in 1754. The town has a military heritage that dates back to the American Revolution and currently houses Hanscom Air Force Base as well as many of the servicemen and women along with their families. An affluent neighborhood, South Lincoln features a variety of high end, single family homes. Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary is both a community supported farm and a wildlife sanctuary that offers 4 miles of hiking trails, a variety of family-friendly activities, and the opportunity to see plants and animals in their natural home.
Interstate 95 is a short drive away in neighboring Lexington and allows for easy commuting throughout the state. Route 2 and 2A both run through the center of town. The MBTA also offers commuter rail service to North Station in Boston along the Fitchburg Line.
