Sharon, a classic New England town, sits in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Due to the large amount of conservation land that lies within the town’s borders, the single family homes are surrounded by rich, verdant plant life. During the summer, Lake Massapoag serves as the community’s center; summer concert series are featured by the lake and residents have access to the water for swimming, boating, and fishing. Sharon also contains a large network of hiking trails that branch throughout the town and through Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary and Borderland State Park.
Only 17 miles outside of Boston, Sharon offers a variety of commuting options. I-95, which runs north and south, has two exits along Sharon’s border. Meanwhile, State Route 27 runs through the center of town. The MBTA’s Providence/Stoughton Line of the commuter rail stops in Sharon and connects to Providence, Stoughton, and Boston’s South Station.
