Worcester, known as the “Heart of the Commonwealth”, lies in Central Massachusetts between Boston and Springfield. The city of Worcester is comprised of over 50 different neighborhoods including Indian Hill, Hammond Heights, Green Hill Park, Lincoln Estate, and Shrewsbury Street. Worcester is also divided into 6 different regions: North Worcester, West Side, East Side, Central, Downtown, and South Worcester.
 Worcester’s central location allows easy access to Eastern and Western Massachusetts as well as Connecticut and Rhode Island. The city sits along the Mass Pike and I-290, Route 9, I-495, I-395, and Route 146 (the Worcester – Providence Turnpike)  all run through Worcester. Worcester also houses a small regional airport and Union Station, the last stop on the Boston – Worcester commuter rail. Worcester also has a variety of bus routes which connect the city to surrounding communities in Central Massachusetts.
