I immigrated from Mexico at the age of 14 years. My first home in the United States of America was in Wichita, Kansas and from there we moved to Texas to Granite City, IL to the final place, St. Louis County, my home for the last 43 plus years.

I was married for 18 years and have 3 children. We attended Saint Sebastian Parish and I volunteered during my children’s school years serving lunch and fundraising for the yearly carnival. My children were involved in the North County Municipal League and events for 17 years.

I spend time volunteering at Our Lady of Guadalupe and Holy Trinity assisting parishioners translating various documents.
