John McAllorum was named Branch Vice President in October, 1999. In this role, he oversees 42 licensed agents, servicing the Northern Virginia/Maryland areas.
McAllorum, a 42 year real estate veteran, began his real estate career in 1968 as a part-time licensed sales associate in Virginia. By 1971, he was the President and Principal Broker of Lakewood Realty Inc., in the Northern Virginia area. He sold his company in 1999, and joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
McAllorum is active in the local community and has served as Director and President of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. He has served many years on the Land Use Committees of the Mount Vernon and Lee Districts in Northern Virginia.
He has successfully coached and trained many real estate agents to impressive gains in productivity over the years. He holds both a Virginia, Maryland Residential and Commerical Brokers licenses. He is a certified Real Estate Coach, a licensed Virginia Real Estate Instructor, and multi-year member of Coldwell Banker's President's Council, National Assocation of Real Estate Appraisers, National Association of Realtors, and Virginia Association of Realtors.
McAllorum holds a Degree from the University of Maryland and spent 8 years in the Air Force. He resides locally with his family and in his spare time enjoys soccer, golf, boating and is a certified scuba diver.
