More about Aaron Weeks
Aaron grew up in upstate New York, in the small town of Norwich, an hour and half south of Syracuse. As a child, Aaron had many interests, some typical of a young boy like, sports, the outdoors and critters as well as some a little more unusual. Aaron was an only child, raised by a single mom who loved to cook, a skill that Aaron picked up early and carried into his adult life. Another important person in Aaron's childhood, was his grandfather who served as a Town Supervisor for many years, exposing Aaron to the world of government and politics. Before he even entered middle school, Aaron was able to cook a mean French Toast, and was already set on being a politician when he grew up. In high school, Aaron was a member of the Rotary Club and enjoyed working on local and national political campaigns. Aaron was a good student and managed to get accepted to American University in Washington, DC. As with many young men and women, Aaron changed gears and ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the State University of New York at Fredonia, not far south of Canada on Lake Erie.
After graduation, Aaron took a job in San Antonio, TX working on the national tour of Phantom of the Opera. After the tour moved on, Aaron began tending bar and quickly found his niche. In less than 6 months, Aaron was running a restaurant on the Riverwalk and found himself managing restaurants for the better part of the next 15 years. After living in San Antonio, Tucson, AZ and Rapid City, SD, Aaron finally settled in Phoenix in 2008 and continued working in the restaurant industry.
As a single father with kids approaching their teens, Aaron realized he needed a career that allowed him more control over the balance of his personal and professional lives. Real Estate has been a Godsend for Aaron and he couldn't be happier helping people realize their dream of home ownership. Based in the Deer Valley area, Aaron works with buyers, sellers and investors all over the valley.
I hear a lot of agents today talk about the market in negative terms, "I remember when" or "I wish it was still". Perhaps it is because I got into real estate after the economic downturn, so I don't have the memories of sitting around waiting for the phone to ring, and living comfortably on 1 or 2 sales per month, but I don't look at today's market so begrudgingly. At any one time I am helping dozens of people realize their dreams, and the harder it is to put together and close the best deal possible, the better it feels to hand over their keys.
Many agents will say it is important to specialize in certain types or areas of real estate, I prefer to do it all, first time home owners, investors, veterans, seniors, families or singles; vacant land, single family homes, condos, multi-unit or horse property. You will never hear me say "I'm sorry, I don't do that" or "I don't go out there".
In short, no matter what you are in the market for, you may find an agent who has more years or deals under their belt, but you will not find one who is more willing to do what it takes to get you what you want and need.
