Selling a home under any circumstances is a big hassle. You have to first decide you really want to sell it, get it ready for the market, go through all of your stuff, figure out how to price, and then go hunting for just the right buyers. Doing this when you have a house that you really love and that you secretly don't want to part with, can make the process even more difficult.

We had a second home in Sedona that was especially designed and built for us almost 25 years ago. Due to our life changes we thought it might be time to sell the home. A realtor friend of ours highly recommended Carolyn Chivers with Coldwell Banker. So, while we were away for the summer, we gave her a call. We figured we'd take our time, have the house evaluated, spruce up the house a little, and put it on the market. We figured Sedona is a unique market and our house is very unique, designed by one of the more creative architects in the area, and thus it would take a little while to sell. We were okay with that.

After seeing the house, Carolyn jumped right into stream. She had a great insight into how to get the house ready for the market, how to list it, and who might buy it. Right away she put together a great team and we were able to do some updates and spruce up the house in record time without a financial strain on our part. This all happened while we were away. She communicated everything to us like a real pro. My wife and I have never had a house related project go this smoothly, ever. When we came back to Sedona after being away for the summer, we were especially excited to see the house looking so great.

After all of the prep work, Carolyn had the house arranged and photographed. The photos produced were amazing. And the amazing thing was that the house was all decorated with just all of our things that we've collected over the years. We sent around the photos to some of our friends and they all commented, "We can't believe you want to sell this house; it looks so amazing."

But we went forward. After listing the house on a Sunday I believe, Carolyn had a first rate offer on Monday. So the results speak better than we can.

What started as a house selling process we were anxious about turned into a great experience for us as well as a financially good one. Carolyn really knows the market in the local area, she has great passion for selling, and she provides white glove service that would be hard to find anywhere else. She really knows how to market properties to best advantage. And when things get a little tense, as they almost always due during the final sales, negotiating, and closing stages, we found that we could really count on Carolyn to represent us well.

My best advice is that if you have a home you want to put up for sale, don't pass up on using Carolyn. Your neighbor or friend down the street might hire her and you'd be at a real disadvantage having to sell your house when she has one to offer nearby. And, given the kind of service she provides, we're sure that she'd do what it takes to find you a great home.
