I am based in east Pasadena and Arcadia serving all of SGV and Los Angeles county in general.
While born in El Paso, TX, I actually grew up in Orange County near Disneyland. Attending nearby Cal State University, Fullerton with a degree in communications while minoring in English, I advanced into the media world, specializing in advertising and commercial production.
Working behind the scenes on commercials, music videos, and corporate training projects built valuable skills so necessary for work in real estate. Roles were sometimes lighting, grip, director of photography, camera operator or editor, all leading to producing live events.
The same skills necessary to light and photograph a juicy burger on a grill or the beautiful sleek lines of an Acura TLX are used to photograph the interior of beautiful architecture or perhaps your home! I have the honor of hearing compliments such as, “you made my home look like art.”
Photography grabs the eye, but words are also important in focusing attention. However, advertising requires economy on descriptions. I can find the right words to fit the need. I have actually received notice online for some of the writing used to describe homes for sale. This is very unusual, but one never knows what will attract a buyer to a house on the market.
It's ironic, but so accurate to say, “I never wrote as much copy and taken as many photographs while working in advertising as I have in selling real estate. And I’m proud of improving my skills.”
