Sophie Kidian

Sophie Kidian has led a life characterized by adventure and her friends know her to be filled with optimism and seemingly inexhaustible energy.

She grew up in Hollywood and attended Hollywood High. She always thought she would complete College and become a Physical Education Teacher, but life had other plans for her. She went to work as a Flight Attendant for TWA at twenty and worked for TWA for 35 years.

While at TWA, Sophie distinguished herself as a pioneer in In-Flight Exercise. She produced and participated in the first Airline to create an In-Flight Exercise Video with Gilad Jankowitz for Coast to Coast and for Trans-Atlantic flights. She was instrumental in raising the consciousness of airlines to put exercise videos on flights. Also, she was chosen out of thousands of flight attendants to participate as one of two Flight Attendants in a month-long exchange program with Singapore Airlines.

Sophie made a career change and became a REALTOR in 1998. For the past 20 years, Sophie has been active in real estate sales, real estate investing for her own account and real estate remodeling.

As a REALTOR, she began her career with Boardwalk Realty in Venice then Coldwell Banker for her first 12 years in Malibu. Sophie became knowledgeable and skilled in both Residential and Income Real Estate and quickly entered the ranks of Coldwell Banker's Elite Sales Agents. In her first 10 years as a Realtor, she purchased 8 Condominiums in Santa Monica and Malibu. She loved redesigning space and taking the 70's out of most Condo's on the market. She purchased, redesigned, and remodeled these homes and then listed and sold them! She did these one at a time and made a wonderful name for herself as one of the few Realtors that "bought and sold her own Listings"! She will come into your home and redesign your space and furnishings to make your home more visually marketable without any cost to you. She will also Stage your home using a system where the cost to stage when the home is sold, either offer Buyer the home furnishings for a reasonable cost or creates an Estate Sale to liquidate the furnishings and give the Seller back the investment of Staging. She continues to work at Coldwell Banker Realty in Malibu and works all over the West Side to San Fernando Valley to Malibu representing Buyers and Sellers.

Sophie has been active in many community projects and charities, including Malibu's Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, Malibu's Art Festival and Turning Point in Santa Monica and Health and Wellness event each year. Turning Point provides transitional housing and supportive services for men and women and guides these individuals back into the community.

Sophie is very excited about being a member of many Malibu Boards and was a Director on the Malibu Chamber for over 5 years. She has been a Malibu resident for 25 years and looks forward to continuing with Malibu's Community Events to bring businesses and the community together in the Malibu she loves.
