Joan Allen

A Southern California native and born into a family of nine (yes!  9!), Joan's real estate journey began after successfully launching a mid-century beach bungalow investment property in the coveted neighborhood of Hollywood Beach, located in the Coastal area of Oxnard, California.  

As a young girl, beach days were always her favorite days with her family and at 8 years old, she drew a photo of herself on the sand with beach towels, surrounded by palm trees, the ocean and a sailboat on the very top of a huge wave.   Perhaps she always knew she'd end up living at the beach.  This drawing was created into a plastic plate, which she still has.  Arts & crafts have been a big part of her life. 

Not surprising then, previous to real estate, Joan has had a successful career as a professional photographer for 20 years and is honored to have been included in some of the industry's most prestigious awards, including American Photography and Communication Arts.  When you meet Joan, it is very likely that her camera is not too far away.  Even her Terrier rescue dog is named Canon.  Her roots run deep in the photography and music industries in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and beyond, and she always finds it fun to meet fellow creatives.  

She is a specialist in all things Ventura Coastline and looks forward to helping you sell your home or buy your first home.
