Matt Toffey

I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area nearly my entire life. I moved into Silicon Valley in the mid 1960’s (at the ripe old age of 2) and spent a great deal of my life in that area.  I grew up in Los Gatos and lived in San Jose and Milpitas until I moved to Livermore in 2001.  I have considered the Tri-Valley my home ever since.  

My first career was in law enforcement and I retired as a detective sergeant in 2013, after over 28 years of service.  During my law enforcement career I also spent many years as our union president and an instructor. Together, those duties gave me extensive experience in complex negotiations, problem solving, multi-task management, customer service, mentoring and teaching.  I believe these skills give me the ability to provide my clients with impeccable service and representation.

I pride myself in my ability to be a strong advocate for my clients while providing personal and professional real estate services.  My business philosophy is to be 100% committed to every client's goals and objectives, communicate effectively and often, educate and advise, be proactive and prepare for any contingency.  My life experience and personal knowledge of the Bay Area and the Tri-Valley have provided me with a unique set of skills and personal knowledge.  This gives me the ability to provide unprecedented services to both buyers and sellers in the local real estate market.
