Unity Church of Truth in Pomona California was built in 1939. This two-story split-level church has a large sanctuary that seats 196 people. There are five offices, three bathrooms, a commercial kitchen and plenty of parking. Area is zoned Residential so use as a church or convert to housing. Description of Unity Church of Truth Pomona from their Pastor These three properties were lovingly acquired by Unity Church of Truth's leadership and congregation in the heyday of religious movements in the US. We moved into the building in 1956 and poured love into this split-level gem with gorgeous stained glass windows both upstairs and downstairs for almost 70 years. As the congregation grew more parking was needed, so through fundraising efforts the two lots to the east of us were purchased and a large parking lot with trees and shrubs and a sprinkling system was established. In the mid 1090's the sanctuary was remodeled, increasing the platform, adding a bigger sound system an inside stained glass window, raising the roof to a lovely vaulted wooden ceiling, adding easy to clean white wallpaper, and recovering the cushioned theater seating. Aisles of new carpeting were installed and the lovey wooden floors were refinished. A last minute gift helped pay for this update. Then in the mid 2000's the kitchen with its many cupboards was remodeled with its big double stainless steel sinks, two gas stoves were purchased, and a buffet for kitchen appliances was added. Tile flooring was added to the large social hall around the serving area near the pass-through window and counter from the kitchen. This beautiful building has lovingly served our aging congregation, and other groups over all these years. It is lovely, flexible, and can serve as a meeting space for other faith groups, or any organization. Or it could become a fabulous home or duplex. Come see it with its multiple rooms we use as offices and a half bath upstairs and 2 half baths and a wall of rooms on the east side of our lower level, which have been classrooms and meeting rooms, offices and even bedrooms for those needing a place to sleep. There are even secret storage rooms here and there as well as built-in cupboards in rooms downstairs and built-in desks and cabinets in the office areas upstairs.
