Professional Experience

A Bay Area real estate veteran with almost three decades of experience, Marianne Zanone Rush is Branch Manager of Coldwell Banker Northern California’s Redwood City-San Carlos office, affiliated with 60+ independent real estate professionals.

Marianne started in real estate with Fox & Carskadon in the Redwood Shores office in 1986. When Coldwell Banker purchased Fox & Carskadon in 1995 she was overseeing the Redwood City office. Within a few years, Coldwell Banker merged its two Redwood City offices into one flagship branch and recruited Marianne to stand at the helm.

In May of 2007 there was another merger of the Redwood City and San Carlos offices Creating the new Redwood City-San Carlos office.

Professional Affiliations

Touted by her peers for her outstanding knowledge of real estate policies and procedures, Marianne is currently serving on the San Mateo County Association of Realtors’ (SAMCAR) Board of Directors. She has been associated with the various boards in the area since 1988 and has served as both President and Regional Chair.

Marianne enjoys offering guidance to both experienced and new independent agents. She often offers classes at the College of San Mateo. She truly enjoys offering guidance to newly affiliated agents as they begin their real estate careers.

Education

Prior to entering real estate, Marianne was a small boutique business owner.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from San Francisco State University and holds a life time credential in elementary education.

Personal Background

Marianne was born in San Francisco and grew up in Colma, California. She currently resides in San Carlos where she and her husband, Bob, have lived for 50+ years. They have two sons: Robert, who is married to Chris and resides with their son Andrew and their daughter Alexis in San Carlos and Matthew, a licensed contractor who also lives in the area.
