Don is the proud son of a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran, born at Presidio’s Letterman Army Hospital and grew up in San Francisco’s Mission District, passionate about giving back to the community, where he led many fundraising events, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars, and over 1 ton of food, as well as leveraged his musical talents to support local charities such as Open Heart Kitchen, Axis Community Health, Hope Hospice, and Contra Costa County Food Bank. He also co-founded the East Bay Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, dedicated to promoting sustainable homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities and serves as the Executive Sponsor for Coldwell Banker's California and Hawaii Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network.
