Scott Cooney

Scott Cooney is a seasoned real estate executive with over 30 years of experience in real estate management, brokerage, and industry leadership. Specializing in commercial brokerage, including office, healthcare, investment, industrial and commercial leasing and sales. Scott has built a reputation for strategic growth, operational excellence, and community engagement.

From 1995 to 2003, Scott served as a commercial sales agent, laying the foundation for a distinguished career. In 2000, he became Broker/Owner of ERA Goodfellow Real Estate, leading the firm until its acquisition by Coldwell Banker Realty in 2014. Following the acquisition, Scott took on the role of Managing Broker for both CB Realty and CB Commercial, where he was instrumental in transforming the offices into regional powerhouses.

A key milestone in Scott’s career was the acquisition and integration of Goodfellow Commercial

Real Estate, which catalyzed the growth and rebranding of the commercial division into CBC Northeast. Under his leadership, CBC Northeast expanded its footprint across New England, becoming a dominant force in the region’s commercial real estate market.

Scott has also held prominent industry leadership roles, including serving as President of the Northern Fairfield Association of Realtors and First Vice President of the Connecticut Realtors Association. His commitment to service extends beyond the industry, he actively volunteers with veterans’ organizations and contributes to his local community.

Outside of work, Scott is passionate about American history, running, weight training, and music. He plays guitar and enjoys sharing his love of music with others. He also serves as Vice President of the Roxbury Runners and is the Race Director for the Roxbury Marathon, Half Marathon, and 50K, events that reflect his dedication to health, endurance, and community spirit.

Scott is excited to have returned to Commercial Brokerage and will once again be representing owners, buyers, and tenants of commercial property. His extensive experience working with all asset classes across multiple markets over many years is the greatest value he brings to his clients.

Scott is married to his wife, Demaree, a successful residential Realtor and Team Leader with Coldwell Banker Realty. Together, they have four adult children. As parents, they take pride in their accomplishments, both personally and professionally.
