More about Suzanne Szupiany

Suzanne’s Business Philosophy/Biography

I have always felt  that trust is the cornerstone for a prosperous client-agent relationship. Many of my achievements as a realtor can be attributed to my commitment to openness, authenticity, and genuine care for my clients.

The act of buying or selling your home is a pivotal life decision. I've personally been through numerous home transactions throughout my life, and I comprehend the emotional, stressful, and physically demanding nature of the process. This underscores the importance of collaborating with an agent who comprehends your objectives and respects your choices. As a real estate professional, it is of utmost importance to actively listen to my clients' objectives, provide unwavering support rather than applying pressure, remain easily accessible, and, above all, nurture trust.

Being a native "Jersey Girl," I relocated to Connecticut more than 28 years ago with my husband and daughter, finding our home in the southeastern part of the Connecticut Shoreline. In the course of our journey, we were blessed with another daughter. We nurtured their growth and development by encouraging their involvement in sports, orchestra, and various extracurricular activities. Throughout these years, I dedicated my time to volunteering for numerous school events, fundraisers, and community service initiatives. I also assumed roles on committees and served as a Girl Scout leader.

Subsequently, I took on a medical billing service for psychotherapists. Working remotely granted me the flexibility to actively participate and volunteer, thus remaining deeply involved in their upbringing. Both of my daughters have since completed graduate school and have embarked on successful careers. I take immense pride in their accomplishments and treasure the privilege of having been there for their life milestones.

Nine years ago, we were faced with the tragedy of my husband's passing. His loss profoundly shook our world, but out of this tragedy came something positive. Several years after his passing, I was asked to facilitate a support group at the Brian Dagle Foundation in Niantic. With proper training, I became a facilitator for a Loss of Spouse Support Group. Presently, I lead two support groups, one of which is specifically dedicated to those who have lost a loved one to suicide. Having experienced the pain of losing a loved one, I am happy to help others on their journey through grief and healing. Brian's Healing Hearts offers a wealth of resources and support for individuals coping with various forms of loss, and I take great pride in being a part of this remarkable center and making a meaningful impact. For me, it is the meaning of life!

After my husband’s passing, I also made a pivotal career change, leading me to real estate.  I always had an interest in homes, and loved the idea of helping others through their important journey.  I cover all of Connecticut with a strong concentration along the Connecticut Shoreline. I’ve achieved considerable success, largely owing it to the trust and support of my clients.

Today, buyers and sellers are faced with many challenges in the real estate market. My mission has always been to provide my clients with the proper guidance and direction necessary for a successful closing.
