"We loved living here as the location was fantastic and it was a manageable sized home, but had a place for everyone and everything. Upstairs was open and bright and we had the space to be in different areas yet still together. We would have holidays in the sunroom, the wood stove would heat up the room comfortably and with all the windows made for a nice celebration.
The finished lower level allowed for comfortable guest rooms with private bath. When the children were young the middle bedroom in lower level was their playroom. When I converted this to a home office it allowed a staff member to come and go as she wished without invading my living space. I also liked having my office downstairs as it made me feel like I wasn't living and working in the same space. Having the walk out was also convenient for running in from outside to use the restroom or access our flat and fenced backyard. The kids could run through yards to meet friends and the spacious two level deck and brick patio made this a great home for entertaining. Lots of afternoon sun allowed the gardens (including the raspberry and blueberry bushes) to bloom throughout the season!
The most difficult thing to leave when we moved...the neighborhood. Easy access to Sunrise Terrace through the gate. Warm, welcoming neighbors of all ages and stages of their lives. Summer block party, winter progressive dinners, hanging out in the summer or a fire in backyard of house that abuts mine in the winter where everyone would come.
