Raquel Marion-Virgo

Raquel Marion-Virgo comes to CB with nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit resource development and fundraising. Her career reflects a comprehensive mastery of both the tactical and strategic dimensions of fundraising and philanthropy. For nearly ten years, Raquel has served in senior leadership roles, developing strategy, building relationships with donors and funders, guiding development teams and driving impactful fundraising initiatives.

Throughout her career, Raquel has raised over $200 million for diverse organizations addressing local, regional, and national issues across the U.S., as well as for international organizations. Leveraging these experiences, Raquel launched her own consulting firm, Women of Change, in 2017 to support organizations working on causes that she believes in.

Raquel was born and raised in New York City, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. John's University and a Master of Science in Political Science, with a specialization in Urban Policy and Administration, from Brooklyn College.  

Raquel has been living in Fairfield County for over a decade and frequently visits family in NYC whenever she can.

When she is not trying to save the world through fundraising, Raquel also serves people and communities as a volunteer for local nonprofits, and through her work as a realtor. Raquel loves that she is able to leverage her skills and passion in building relationships from her successful fundraising career to her love of real estate. As an agent, Raquel prides herself on being a trusted advisor to help people find their first or forever homes. Purchasing her first home led her to fall in love with real estate and motivated her to want to help others purchase their first (or second, or third, etc.) home.

Raquel is a lover of learning, and in her spare time, she is always ready to get on a plane to fly anywhere in the world to learn about other people and their cultures. So far, she has been to 20 countries (and counting!). Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her husband and teen daughters, and two dogs.
