Personal Background

I was raised in Connecticut as was Steve, my husband. We started our married life in Southern California; Santa Monica and then Northridge. We returned to Fairfield County to raise our three children with the loving support of our extended family. The children graduated from Staples High School in Westport and all 3 lettered in their individual sports; baseball, volleyball and gymnastics. We have a UCONN graduate , a USC graduate and a graduate of Art Center Pasadena CA. Besides sports, our Church affiliation gave us even more family through our friendships that continue today. Steve and I led by example by volunteering in education, scout leadership (one child earned his Eagle Award) and music ministry, (one child was with a gospel choir). Staples Orchestra and Norwalk Youth Symphony were instrumental in shaping the children. I belonged to the PTA and was in the forefront of the elementary grade food allergy procedures. Steve is highly involved in the Sunrise Rotary Group. He is a past president, started and continues with The Great Duck Race raising tens of thousands of dollars for local charities. We have hosted an international student and all three children were attendees of the Global Leadership Initiative within the Rotary Organization.
