Coldwell Banker® Holds New Construction Event, Raises Thousands for Charity

Local residential real estate company Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently held a training event designed to help independent sales associates increase their professional knowledge, learn new skills within the area of new-construction home sales, and earn continuing education credit. There was a small fee for the course, with all proceeds benefiting local charitable organizations through Coldwell Banker NRT Texas CARES.

“Our Dallas/Fort Worth New Construction Specialist event gave us the opportunity to combine two areas to which we’re deeply committed – sales associate education and charitable giving,” explained Frank Obringer, president, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Dallas/Fort Worth. “New construction is a significant segment of the North Texas residential real estate market, and this exclusive course positions Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents as experts in the field.”

More than 400 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage sales associates attended the three-hour event at the Hurst Convention Center, which included two hours of mandatory continuing education (MCE) accreditation focused on how to better serve local home buyers, building relationships with clients and home builders, generating a pipeline of new business through proven strategies and more. There were also 15 area builders present for an hour-long Builder Expo that took place at the beginning of the event. The Expo gave sales associates an opportunity to learn about existing and upcoming new developments, ask questions and network with local builder representatives.

In addition to bringing residential real estate professionals and local home builders together, the event raised $12,000 for Coldwell Banker NRT Texas CARES, the charitable foundation of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Coldwell Banker NRT Texas CARES supports a wide variety of local nonprofit organizations throughout North Texas, and is part of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s long-standing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.

“We were thrilled with the turnout for this event – both from affiliated agents and local builders,” remarked Obringer. “Clearly, there’s a strong demand for this type of offering within the local real estate community. And to be able to deliver a strong, business-building educational event to sales associates while also raising thousands of dollars for local charities is icing on the cake.”
