Launch of New Consumer Real Estate Website a Major Success

In December, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage enhanced the way home buyers search for properties by upgrading its consumer website from the local CBDFW.com to a new national site, ColdwellBankerHomes.com. The new site combines the websites of 25 Coldwell Banker® companies nationwide, serving 50 of the largest 100 metropolitan areas in the U.S., and features all of NRT’s Coldwell Banker branded and MLS property listings in the regions the company serves. NRT is the parent company of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

The roll-out of ColdwellBankerHomes.com was not only completely seamless, it was also a major success. In January alone, there were 6.6 million site visits, 10.3 million listing views, more than 100,000 saved properties and 5,230 saved searches.

“We have been absolutely thrilled with the launch of the new website, and it appears home buyers and sellers feel the same way,” said Frank Obringer, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Dallas/Fort Worth.

“Dallas/Fort Worth is one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States, with new residents moving here from all across the country,” continued Obringer. “Having a national website like ColdwellBankerHomes.com gives agents and their sellers’ properties greater exposure and reach, while buyers enjoy expanded home search options and functionality.”

In addition to reaching home buyers nationwide, ColdwellBankerHomes.com also attracts a global audience. Consumers from 217 countries have visited the site more than 6 million times in the past year – an especially important statistic here in Texas, which is the third most popular destination for foreign home buyers, according to the 2015 National Association of Realtors® Profile of Home Buying Activity of International Clients.

Visitors to the site can explore virtual tours, photos, property videos, community profiles, city and school reports, interactive maps, tips for buying and selling a home, and Coldwell Banker property management and rental listings. Consumers can also request a report on their home’s value in today’s market. The site effortlessly converts to computer, smartphone and tablet format for optimal viewing on any device.

Agents affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage receive a free personal profile page, have the ability to upload a video profile and unlimited photos for each property,  and can send automatic email alerts on new properties, price reductions and open houses to customers who opt-in. Additionally, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents receive leads from their listings on the site directly through InTouch, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s company-paid customer relationship management system that is powered by Market Leader.

“It’s not only home buyers and sellers who have benefited from the new website,” noted Obringer. “In December 2015, the first month on ColdwellBankerHomes.com, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents received 136% more leads than they did in December 2014 – a huge increase due in part to this new site launch.”
