Partners in life and business, Eileen and Brian Gillen have been a formative pair for more than thirty years. The Gillen Group shares their passion for the Gulf coast lifestyle with buyers and sellers, specializing in waterfront residences, investment properties, and Longboat Key homes for sale. Together, they bring a wealth of market knowledge about the Sarasota and Bradenton areas and many years of experience in purchasing, designing and renovating investment residences for profit.

As an owner/managing partner of two residential property redevelopment companies, Eileen has personally completed over $12 million in residential investment deals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. This background in residential property investment is the perfect foundation to help buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. She has real world experience identifying and negotiating successful investment opportunities, managing renovation projects, and creating rapid sales for profit. Another cornerstone of Eileen’s real estate acumen was a career as a licensed clinical psychologist. Eileen developed and ran a successful private practice for over 20 years built on referrals and positive recommendations. She was also a contracted consultant for Fortune 500 companies as well as a Board of Director’s member for two community mental health boards with responsibility for program and budget oversight.

Originally from Bergen County, NJ, Brian was in the logistics business for 30 years and held positions of President and CEO. He most recently ran the U.S. market for a large logistics company specializing in the global transport of beverages – primarily shipping wine from all over the world to the United States and Asia. His international acumen, strong negotiating skills, strategic planning, and a sense for being “quick on his feet” benefits buyers and sellers as they navigate the housing market on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Brian also has an impressive portfolio in personal real estate investing, reaching the $15 million mark in total transactions since 2000. He has a BA in Economics from Villanova University and an MS in Business from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

When Eileen and Brian retired from their professional careers in New Jersey, they transitioned their real estate investment business to Florida with projects in Miami, Bradenton, and Longboat Key. A natural progression of that success was to become licensed real estate agents and members of the National Association of Realtors®. The Gillen Group brings their hands-on knowledge and experience to every buyer and seller. They understand real estate “from both sides of the desk” as buyers, sellers and real estate professionals. Eileen and Brian met as undergraduate students at Villanova University. After several years in the New York City area for work and graduate school, they settled in Moorestown, New Jersey where they raised their two daughters. And clearly, that apple didn't fall far from the tree...both daughters are pursuing commercial real estate careers with global firms. In their free time, you'll see Eileen and Brian getting out on the Gulf waters for boating and fishing. The Gulf lifestyle has them hooked! And during college basketball season, you will often find Eileen and Brian cheering on the Villanova men’s basketball team at a watch party. Eileen and Brian have enjoyed living on Longboat Key and in Northwest Bradenton since moving to Florida full time. They have two toy poodles, Sadie and Finnegan.
