Wendy Garber

Armed with a unique blend of experience in sales, financial services and construction, Wendy Garber specializes in Naples residential buying and selling with an emphasis on investment and vacation properties at the Dawn McKenna Group. Her insider’s knowledge of The Moorings and neighboring beach communities, combined with her deep network of contacts in numerous local competitive tennis leagues have made her a go-to source for those seeking the Naples active lifestyle.  

Married to an Illinois luxury real estate developer who expanded his business to Naples, Wendy offers valuable insight into the investing, construction and remodeling process. She herself has been a client of the Dawn McKenna Group, buying and selling at least 12 personal homes over the years. “I’ve been on the other side of the business,” says Wendy. As a result, she serves her clients with empathy and a high level of care: “I treat every client the same, whether they’re buying a $300,000 condo or $5 million single-family home. Everyone gets the same level of service. I’m not focused on the money or the numbers.” She is known for listening and problem solving, often putting her own real-life buying, selling and renovating experience to use for her clients. Her construction industry connections also give her clients an extra sense of trust, especially if they are looking to add value to a property with a remodel. 

A native of Michigan, Wendy graduated from the University of Michigan with an economics degree and received an MBA from DePaul in Chicago. She previously worked in commercial lending and private banking for a Chicago bank. In addition to building and rehabbing homes and raising her three children in Hinsdale, Illinois, she has co-owned a restaurant for the last 10 years and still manages its outside sales efforts.

Wendy vacationed in Naples for over 20 years before moving permanently to the area. Today, she is deeply connected to the Naples community. She is a member of several traveling tennis teams and recently qualified for the State of Florida Regional USTA Tennis Championships. She also enjoys playing pickleball, yoga and spending time outdoors with her husband, Jim. Having recently renovated and sold her first Naples home, she is looking forward to her next project.
