Scott’s dad told us to steal a snowplow and drive it South until someone says, “What’s that?” Park it there and never leave. Although we did not take all that advice, we did take part of it.

We were married in 1996 on Lido Beach. We knew right then we would eventually live here. And we did, we found our place in the sand.

We are both originally from the Midwest. We have 2 beautiful daughters. One is 30, married to a great guy, a wounded veteran. They have 2 kids – a 7 year old (our spunky grandson) and a 1 1/2 beautiful daughter. Our 17 year old beauty lives with us here in Sarasota – although she has special needs, we are the ones who are blessed.

Jan started a promotional marketing, embroidery, and screen printing business in 1997. Through aggressive marketing and a strong commitment to customer service, her business grew every year since its inception – even through the depressed economy.

Scott owned a flight school, aviation service and aircraft sales business (which included transactions of corporate jets and turbo props) for a number of years prior to going into real estate. Through a nation-wide internet marketing campaign and a very systematic follow up system, the business became one of the largest flight schools in the Midwest.

We were fortunate enough to make a decision to get into the residential real estate market. We are very active and put in a lot of hours, but have found an unexpected true benefit to this industry – making friends. We feel that it is a true blessing to be able to assist in helping someone realize their dream of home ownership and have made some life-time friends along the way.
