Sabrina Cohen Honored With “Hero of The Year” Award From Coldwell Banker Real Estate

MIAMI, FL (October 23, 2017) –- Sabrina Cohen, agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Miami Beach, Florida, has received the prestigious Coldwell Banker® “Hero of the Year” Award. This annual award is presented to an individual, office or company affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Real Estate brand who strengthens their community through exceptional charitable efforts. Cohen was nominated by her peers and selected from more than 88,000 professionals worldwide.

In addition to being a successful sales representative with Coldwell Banker in Miami Beach, Cohen dedicates countless hours to her non-profit organization, The Sabrina Cohen Foundation, dedicated to developing adaptive fitness and recreational programs that provide a better quality of life for individuals living with paralysis and various disabilities. Having lived with a disability for more than two decades, Cohen understands the challenges her community faces.

“Selling incredible homes and helping my community has been a lifelong passion of mine, and it’s a wonderful honor to accept this award,” said Cohen. “Knowing firsthand the challenge of living with a disability, it’s a privilege to be able to give back and make a difference in Miami Beach with the support of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.”

In May of 2016, Cohen launched the novel “Adaptive Beach Days” program, a twice-a-month Miami Beach program that offers disabled people a chance to safely experience the ocean. Participants come from across the state and describe the experience as miraculous and invigorating.

“Beyond providing outstanding service to Miami residents, Sabrina’s passion for the real estate industry and the disabled community continues to impress the Coldwell Banker network,” said Charlie Young, president and chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. “Sabrina’s compassion and dedication to improving the lives of those living with a disability in her community has made her a true embodiment of the Coldwell Banker heritage.”

Cohen is currently working with the City of Miami Beach to create the first fully-accessible beach, playground and adaptive recreation center for the disabled, including seniors, veterans and children with special needs. The project was voted on and approved by the city in July of 2017 and is proposed to be built on a portion of city-owned land at 5301 Collins Avenue.
