Meet 1379 Metropolitan Ave - a one-of-a-kind, forever home. This 1920s Craftsmen Bungalow is on the market for the first time in 24 years. Thoughtfully renovated, meticulously maintained, and loved at every inch - it is hard to tell if this home is a time-capsule or a perfect example of historic preservation. Originally a 3 bedroom / 1 bathroom, the home was transformed into a 2bed/2bathroom with a sense of purpose, a perfect flow throughout and a keen eye on the past. As you enter the property, you are immediately greeted with a hug on the oversized front porch. Perfect for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The front door opens into an expansive setting, ten-foot ceilings and original heart pine floors greet you at first step. Both bedrooms feel oversized and as you pass into the heart of the home, you've begun to understand what East Atlanta looked like many moons ago. The double-sided brick fireplace anchors both spaces, but as you continue the natural light becomes captivating. The primary bedroom and oversized en suite bathroom and closet are a nod to present day amongst the rest of the historic charm. The oversized kitchen is perfect for guests and family alike, made for cooking and helping - then you find your cottage garden out the back door. With an abundance of heirloom plants, perennials, and a raised bed perfect for your choice of homegrown ingredients. The lot is deep and offers valuable space for an ADU or potential garage. Outside of the home, East Atlanta Village's vibrant culture is merely a short walk away. Your nightly pick of happy hour and restaurants such as Argosy, Banshee, Midway Pub, Gaja, Soba, and so much more. You bought the house, but you got the EAV lifestyle.
