Dawn Hazelton

Dawn Hazelton is a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Consultants. Dawn has worked as a realtor assisting clients across Metro Atlanta for nine years. As a real estate agent, Dawn believes that investment in a community does not stop at a property line, but should include a community’s layered histories, long-time residents, and local businesses. Dawn’s ethos as a Realtor is relational and client-centered. She accompanies clients every step of the way in their home-buying journey, from the logistical tasks to the business ones to the more emotional or psychological work of processing information and possible futures. Dawn serves as a creative community builder who loves introducing clients to the diversity and cultural offerings of Atlanta’s many neighborhoods.

In addition to helping people connect to neighborhoods and to their dream homes, Dawn is a student of African American History. She worked as an adjunct faculty member at Savannah State University, Kennesaw State University, and Michigan State University where she taught undergraduate courses centered on the African American Experience, American ethnic and racial experience, women in America, the evolution of American thought, and American identities. She completed PhD coursework at Michigan State University and earned degrees from Spelman College and the University of Georgia.

Dawn enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring Atlanta’s cultural and historic sites, and writing comedy. Dawn was born in Charleston, raised in Atlanta, and currently resides in the Westview community in southwest Atlanta.
