More about Mike Stern
When consumers understand market dynamics and the buying & selling process, everything else will fall into place. Mike strives to educate his clients well in advance of the actual sale, so they are prepared for any eventuality. Full disclosure, honesty, humor and excellent follow-up have contributed to Mike's repeat and referral business.
Clients Counseled & Communities Served
Mike has worked with a variety of home buyers and sellers. First time buyers and senior/estate clients are a large segment of Mike's business. Assembling a team of trusted attorneys, lenders, tradesmen and home clearing & organizing professionals has helped make transitions seamless and (almost) worry free.
Mike's real estate career has centered around Evanston, Skokie and the surrounding North Shore and City of Chicago communities. Need someone outside Mike's areas of expertise? He is ready with a referral to another quality agent in the area(s) of your choice.
Education, Training and Experience
Mike has over 20 years of real estate experience and maintains a managing broker's license. Continuing education and additional learning opportunities are completed without fail.
Mike received his BSBA from the University of Denver; working in Denver, NYC, Chicago and St. Louis in the hotel industry. His primary education was completed in California and New Jersey. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout and being inducted into the Order of the Arrow added another dimension to Mike's education, team building and leadership skills.
Mike has supported the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and Road to Recovery programs. He has captained The Rose Warriors Relay Team since 2011, achieving top honors for the highest level of fundraising each year. Mike also organized a team of agents, family and friends to prepare and serve meals to the hungry via St. Paul's Soup Kitchen program.
Mike has lived in the mid-west his entire adult life. Born on the west coast, moving to the east coast to be closer to family and landing in the Chicago area for a hotel job. Mike met his wife through work and settled down in the Lorel Park area of Skokie, where he and his wife raised their son and two dogs. Mike enjoys food, travel and home improvement projects in his spare time.
