About

John C. Flaherty was born in Boston and grew up in Chicago, Illinois and Galway, Ireland. He attended St. Mary College and University College, Galway, where he received degrees in Mathematics and Economics. John has been in real estate for over twenty-five years, and is very familiar with the Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville real estate markets.

Community involvement is important to John, and in 1997 he was instrumental in placing a commemorative monument to The Great Irish Famine of 1845-1849 on Cambridge Common, which was unveiled by then President of Ireland, Mary Robinson.

John is fan of all Boston sports teams, and he enjoys traveling, music, and art. He has one son and lives in Belmont.
