Leo Dassa

Hi I'm Leo Dassa "Chef". I was born in Baltimore, at 2 months age, moved to Israel for 6 years, and then decided at 6 years old "Okay I'm ready to move back." It was not my parents who forcefully moved me back. Graduated from University of Maryland and then moved to NYC, Chicago and Florida to work in tech sales. I moved to Boston in 2017 to take care of my brother who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The interesting this is that like most, I couldn't stand being in Boston. Of all the places I lived in, it was my least favorite. There was a certain way about the culture and people that I wasn't able to keep up with. Fast Forward to 2020 when my brother passed away, I really wanted to get out of here. However, my now fiancee kept me here. So then I took a different perspective. What if I just became a "Mass-hole" like everyone else? Taking this new approach allowed me to connect with everyone around me. I didn't get offended when people didn't ask how my day was. Instead I just spoke to them the way they spoke to me and we got along great. I always followed in my brothers footsteps. I even moved to the South End neighborhood to be near him. Before he passed away, he told me that I needed to find my own neighborhood. Taking on this venture, I learned how beautiful the western Boston suburbs were. Brookline, Newton, Needham, Natick... I could keep going.

I bought my place in Brookline a few years ago and never looked back. What a wonderful town with so much to do. This made me that if I could help others learn what took me 5 years to learn about what makes Boston and Massachusetts in general so special, then I would find fulfillment and enjoyment in what I do. I tried stand up comedy, but that didn't work out, so I settled on being a Real Estate agent.
