LEANNA McGRATH was born in Manhattan of Greek and English parents and spent the early years of her life in France. She attended the Brearley School in New York, Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts, and Tufts University where she received a BA in politics & literature. In France she studied at the Institute of Political Science before joining the staff of the Paris Bureau of the New York Times. She then advanced careers and worked in film production and public relations before returning to New York in the mid- 90's to pursue further public relations activity, both as a freelancer and corporately. After the birth of her first child she moved to Cambridge, Mass., where she worked for seven years as the personal assistant to Benjamin Zander, Conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. She has two children: Maximilien, who is currently an undergraduate at Bard College and Xanthe, who is in high school in Cambridge. She and her family have traveled extensively in Europe, India and Africa, and spend much of each summer in Greece. With over a decade of experience with the Cambridge office of the Coldwell Banker Realty, Leanna’s business philosophy is founded upon her love of architecture and of community life; she firmly believes in cooperation and active social exchange as the basis for all human activity.
