Kara received a BS in Social Work from Salve Regina University and continued her education at University of Southern Maine in Portland. Prior to her career in Real Estate, she practiced social work for the Department of Human Services in Portland and Augusta, Maine and Westbrook, Maine public school department.

Kara was actively involved in her local community of West Hartford , serving on the Children's Charity Ball Committee for The Bridge Family Center, and as an Alumni Consultant at her alma mater Salve Regina University and member of the The Hull Life Saving Museum.

Personal Background:
Originally from Cohasset on the South Shore of Massachusetts, Kara and her Husband Sean met at Salve Regina University, they later married and started their family in Portland, Maine prior to moving to West Hartford in 1997. She has two college aged daughters that have attended both public and private schools in West Hartford. Kara received her Real Estate license in 1999 and quickly became established as a high-producing listing and selling agent.  In 2016, Kara began working as the Branch Vice President for the Coldwell Banker Realty office of West Hartford and grew the office to have #1 market share.  September of 2024, Kara was asked to take on new role and moved back to the South Shore of Ma to operate the Hingham/Hull, Ma location and in January of 2025 expanded her role to include, Cohasset, Scituate, Norwell/Hanover Regional offices.

When not working, Kara enjoys gardening, cooking and entertaining, walking the beach in search of the perfect heart rock with her husband and dog, Mini Australian Shepard, Sawyer. and spending time with her family.
