Jay Johnson

T. Jay Johnson began his real estate career in late 1999, drawn by his fascination with the many styles of homes and the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. He loves hearing each client’s story and helping them take meaningful steps toward homeownership. Jay’s goal is to guide every client toward finding the home that’s right for them. He reminds his buyers that their first home doesn’t have to be their last, encouraging them to focus on their top three or four “must-haves” before exploring the “nice-to-haves” that make a house feel like home.

Before entering real estate, Jay served in the U.S. Army as a cook in a medic battalion, earned a degree in business, and gained valuable experience working in area restaurants and providing direct care for adults who needed daily assistance. Known for his friendly personality, humor, and genuine helpfulness, he brings warmth and perspective to every interaction, whether he’s guiding first-time buyers or helping seasoned homeowners through their next move.

Originally from New Jersey, Jay fondly recalls growing up with his brothers and friends, shooting hoops and hopping trains into New York City- though he jokes that his mom never knew about that! He now calls Fitchburg home, where he enjoys spending time with his kids and grandkids. When he’s not with clients, you might find him fishing, reading, traveling, or bowling in his league at Gardner Ten Pins. With family in both Massachusetts and Virginia, Jay cherishes every visit and every memory made- always keeping people, laughter, and home at the heart of all he does.
