Sandy supports and raises funds to Fight Breast Cancer and has participated across the country in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk as a walker (60 miles in 3 days), A Youth Corp Leader, a Sweep Van Driver, and a Crew Worker. She also supports the AYJ Fund whose mission is to bring smiles to kids with cancer, to keep them connected to school and friends through technology, and to support the research of gliomatosis cerebri and other brain cancers to find a cure.

She likes to tell people that she was a nurse in her first life and that those caring skills learned early on have carried over into her Real Estate career. Involved in various organizations over the years she has chaired many committees including Golf Tournaments, Fund Raisers, The Friends of The Columbia Rail Trail, Relay for Life, RAPV Community Services, Westfield Chamber of commerce to name a few.
