We have been working with Bridget on buying a home in Walpole. She helped us understand all the neighborhoods and worked through weighing our options. More than an agent, she quickly became a trusted advisor and friend. We have bought several houses in the DC area and this is our first home My wife and I recently used Bridget to sell our first home and buy a new one. Bridget met with us a couple of months before the sale to talk with us about the process, get a better understanding of the market and talk with us about timing. We made our home ready and coordinated with Bridget the photographer visit and open house. We put our house on the market on a Thursday with an open house Saturday and Sunday. By Monday, we had 4 offers and 2 of them well qualified and over asking. Having 2 kids it was such a relief to only need to keep the house in showroom quality for a short period of time. Since we didn't have a new house to buy yet Bridget was able to negotiate a long closing even though the new buyer would have preferred to move in quickly. Meanwhile my wife and I had been looking for houses in the same town. We wanted to keep our children in the same school and therefore were limited on the area. We went to open houses, talked to builders, reached out to people possibly looking to sell and left no stone unturned looking for the perfect house. In the process of finding our home we had to go to at least 15 open houses and private showings. Bridget was super accommodating an joined us for the vast majority of them all. She was happy to be there and give us her professional opinion about each of them. This really helped us not focus on some cosmetic detail that may have caught our attention and concentrate on the important aspects of the house. It probably took us 4 - 6 months of actively looking for us to find the right house. Bridget helped us to negotiate an under asking accepted offer that ended up including some furniture, all appliances and even the sit down lawn mower and snowblower. This was all made possible because she understood the sellers position and found a way to bridge the gap and get both parties what they wanted. Never, not once, during the home buying process did I ever get the feeling of being rushed or pressured to just pick one. I truly believe that Bridget wanted our family in the perfect home for us even if we had to see dozens of homes and it took a year.
