Personal Background

Thank you for visiting my page. Before I talk about my expertise as a real estate agent, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I have many interests outside of real estate that enable me to interact and network with people from all walks of life. I relocated to Maine in 1986 and fell in love with the way of life here. I have been an avid skier since 1993. My husband and I built a second home just up the road from our favorite ski resort, Sugarloaf. In the winter we ski and snowmobile and in the summer we hike and ride dirt bikes. I have been a motorcycle enthusiast since an early age and continue to enjoy riding.

I graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Fitness. I was a member of the varsity gymnastic team and competed as an all around gymnast. When I moved to Maine, I became the Portland YMCA's Fitness Director. To this day I still teach fitness classes on a part time basis. I believe in the spirit, mind & body connection. If you have a healthy mind & body, the spirit will soar! Most recently I've been competing in obstacle courses and enjoying every minute.

One of my greatest achievements, and something that I am very proud to have been able to do, was donating a kidney in 2000.

Business Experience

• I have been a resident of Maine since 1986.
• From 1986 to 1993 I was the Fitness Director of the Portland YMCA.
• From 1993 to 1996 I worked as a finish carpenter. I was trained by a highly skilled carpenter contractor who's been in the business for over 25 years. During my tenure I assisted with building homes from the ground up as well as the finishing details. With my carpentry background I have the unique advantage of understanding home construction and am able to relate this information to my clients.
• I've been a full time real estate professional since 1996. I represent Sellers and Buyers as an exclusive agent in the sale and/or purchase of homes. I listen to clients' personal needs and goals in order to best represent clients' interests in the sale or purchase of a property. I successfully market and sell all types of homes and property for the highest price in the shortest amount of time. I am skilled at holding open houses, preparing and staging homes for sale, and writing effective advertisements. I facilitate the purchase and sale from beginning to end. I work with lenders, builders, attorneys, title companies, city officials, underwriters, and other brokers to ensure a prompt closing. I'm extensively trained in negotiating, marketing, and customer service. I communicate effectively with clients and prospects in person, on the phone and online. I have great instincts for selecting and matching clients with properties. I am continually developing a vast referral network of satisfied clients and friends.
