Aklilu Dunlap grew up on three continents, three countries and numerous communities, thanks to the privileges afforded him by the nature of his father’s work. After earning a BA in English from the Colorado College, Aklilu pursued creative writing and proficiency in German at the University of Regensburg in what was then West Germany. Afterwards, he wrote for a small press newspaper and enrolled at the University of Minnesota Law School. Aklilu then practiced litigation (including real estate law and fair housing law) for ten years before pursuing his real estate license. Aklilu has been on the front line of client-concerns as both an attorney and a realtor. He is poised and eager to advocate on behalf of his clients with an acute sensitivity to both the financial and legal concerns clients often face.
