Teri has worked several times in African refugee camps and tries to go back each year. Causes that support animals and the elderly are also important to her.  

Teri holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Retail Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa.
