Brian Michaels

Born and raised in Gastonia, I’ve seen firsthand the transformation of our beautiful Queen City from a small town in the South to a large metropolitan with world-class entertainment, restaurants, shopping, professional sports teams and so much more.

After high school, I joined the Air Force and was stationed in places including Colorado and Germany. However, my heart was always in North Carolina, and after I completed my service, I attended Appalachian State University and Belmont Abbey College. Soon after, I worked in property management for several years. It was while I was managing an apartment complex in Uptown called The Fourth Ward Square, that my company decided to convert our rental units into condos. As the representative for the developer/owner, it was my responsibility to deal with buyers, agents, appraisers, and lenders throughout the entire process. It felt natural to me.

In 2011, I decided to pursue my passion for real estate full time and haven’t look back since. I love that real estate is both exciting and challenging and that I get the opportunity to be an advocate and resource for my clients. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

I currently live in Cotswold with my partner and our two rescue dogs. Our neighborhood, Sherwood Forest, has fun, friendly neighbors and cool 1960’s ranch style homes. Plus, we’re close to everything – the Cotswold Village shopping center, only 6 minutes to Uptown, and 15 minutes to the Southpark area!

In our free time, we love to travel in the United States and abroad. When I’m not working or traveling, you can find me supporting and volunteering with local animal rescue groups and playing on tennis leagues.
