Upon graduation from The Ohio State University Mr. Whitney launched his career as an investment banker in Columbus, Ohio with the predecessor firm to Banc One Capital Markets, which through acquisition of its parent company later merged with JPMorgan Chase & Co. Global Capital Markets. Mr. Whitney’s investment banking career encompassed sales of investment-grade and nonrated securities, and the many facets of commercial real estate structured finance utilizing cutting edge market rate and tax-advantaged strategies. With unique qualifications and extensive investment banking experience involving conventional apartments, higher-education multifamily properties, and seniors housing communities Mr. Whitney strategically transitioned to the commercial real estate brokerage industry in order to represent investors in the sale, acquisition, and financing of multifamily properties.
